➤ CHARACTER AGE: A canon age is not stated but I am going to say that she could be mid to late twenties due to how she looks.

➤ SEXUALITY: Belle has a male suitor at the start of her character introduction, though this is not to be as she is traded to Rumplestiltskin. Since this, even while being held captive by him, she holds a strong attraction for him. She has a strong bond with several women but it is very obviously shown that she is a willingly kept woman when it comes to Rumplestiltskin. She has yet to show lack of attraction towards him or any other man for that matter. She was once caught making out with a man outside of Granny's who was not Rumplestiltskin while cursed by the town's magic, brought about by Regina. She has never sought out women beyond a platonic or sisterly fashion despite many opportune moments in canon in which she could have done so. With this, it can be established that she is very much heterosexual.

Belle is not your typical Disney Princess who needs saving from a castle or some evil beast. Often times Belle tends to carve her own way, through stubbornness and intellect. A great example of this is when she first meets Mulan and shows her where the monster the warrior is looking for is located, using books alone while the other woman could not find the thing by her known tracking abilities. Belle is a lover of books first and foremost and it is because of that, like some more naive fictional story readers, she has a sense of adventure that often blinds her to what the real world is actually like. She has faith and optimism that knows no bounds, something other characters admire about her. Also, she is resourceful in a pinch and quick to defend those who need it.
Belle is the girl who will sit down with someone and hold their hand and tell them how much she believes in them. She is selfless which often can intermingle with reckless in many instances. Something of a flaw and a strength is that Belle sees the good in others. This is especially true of Rumplestiltskin. She develops a bit of a Stockholm Syndrome with him. In the beginning of their relationship she is curious about him while he is cruel in return, often upsetting her or making her nervous. This changes over time, though she does not hesitate to tell him when he is completely out of line.
Belle wants to do everything in her power to heal the hurts of those in her life. This does not make her a push over, of course. Her stubborn will often rules over her good heart in morally questionable situations - be it when Rumplestiltskin is plotting or her father is trying to tell her how to live her life. She is not afraid to physically injure someone who is threatening her, once knocking a bookshelf over onto Hook, or to spew verbal insults or threats. She is also one of the only people in the Enchanted Forest to ever speak highly of Rumplestiltskin.

Belle is a romantic, more than likely owing to her love of stories. She believes that love is not so simple and that there are many facets to it. When she loves someone, she loves them. She does not turn her back on them no matter how angry she might be. More than once, Rumplestiltskin has tested this in her. His lust for power often makes him a cruel person and Belle is not afraid to call him on it when he says or does things she cannot abide by. While she loves him, her relationship with Rumplestiltskin does not define her, as is common with most of the ladies in her canon. She is more than capable of standing on her own without him if she needs to and often times if he needs her to.
A lot of the time, Belle does not think her ideas through – be it volunteering to go live with a strange man or rushing out to face an unknown beast that no one can seem to find let alone kill. She has the courage to push on despite adversity and never lets herself give up on something or someone. Her compassion is what drives her and what has made her character what it is. It is also what helps others like Ruby and Rumplestiltskin see the good in themselves.
However, it is because of Rumple's issues that Belle has a very one sided view against magic. She abhors it, believing magic can only ever bring about one result: destruction of any good surrounding or within the person who wields it. Though she does not judge any other person who uses it, she does view it as almost a poison to specifically Rumple. There hasn't really been interaction with her and anyone who uses good magic in the series (fairies) other than possibly dwarfs who have tried to encourage her that magic is not all about corruption. She still remains somewhat skeptical though respectful of their views.
Some skills Belle has learned from reading and through misadventures include being able to discern knots, being able to expertly determine the habitat of various creatures, some minor sword play (though she isn't very good). She is also relatively good at cleaning and likes to be neat and orderly. Belle isn't a complete girly girl but she tends to wear dressy type clothing (this could also be due to Rumple showering her with things).
➤ POWERS: Belle doesn’t have any powers as such, but she likes to think she’s quite perceptive and a good listener. She has the ability to read and translate multiple languages.
She also makes a really good cup of tea.

➤ SUITABILITY: As I mentioned in my personality section, Belle is resourceful and she is also strong willed. She has things she loves and wants to protect and will do what she can to find her way back to those things. That is what makes her suitable to the more harsher sides of the game. She is a young woman who is not so naïve that she does not understand sexuality or things of that nature. Her relationship with Rumplestiltskin is very intimate, even if we do not see them doing anything more than kissing on screen. It will be a struggle to do anything of that nature with someone who is not him, but her resourcefulness and determination will most assuredly shine through. She isn't the type to just lay down and die and she doesn't cower in the face of danger either.
